Nicole Soltau — bridging tourism management with authentic digital storytelling, one journey at a time.
I've always loved travelling, which naturally led me to study Tourism Management. Along the way, I discovered just how much I love the creative side of travel — storytelling, visual content and finding new ways to connect people with places. That's what led me to continue with my current MA in Digital Media & Communications.
I've also been lucky enough to travel with my dog, Titi, and I love creating content that brings pet-friendly travel into the wider travel experience — from destinations and experiences to the practical realities of travelling with a dog.
Today, I bring these passions together through content strategy, UGC, digital storytelling and travel content — creating work that feels both authentic and purposeful.
A working set built at the intersection of tourism strategy, visual storytelling and design.
While travelling in Mexico, fate led me to adopt Titi, my little Chihuahua — and she quickly became the best travel partner I could have asked for. Since then, we've travelled together through 8 countries across 3 continents, learning first-hand what it takes to make travelling with a dog work.
What started as a way to document our adventures soon became something bigger. I realised how difficult it can be for pet parents to find clear, practical and authentic information about travelling with their animals — from transport regulations and accommodation to the little things you only learn by doing it yourself.
That's why I created @Titi.Traveling: to show that bringing your dog along doesn't have to mean giving up the freedom to explore. I want to help other pet parents discover the world with their animals by sharing the experiences, information and inspiration I've gathered along the way.
By treating the account as both a creative outlet and a testing ground for my digital strategy, Titi.Traveling has generated over 1 million profile views in two months and more than 85,000 account interactions in 30 days — demonstrating how authentic experiences, short-form storytelling and a clear audience need can build an engaged community from scratch.
Two sides of the same story — one for brands, one for fellow travellers.
